US official says offshore wind farms pose no threat to environment

New Jersey's current state energy master plan calls for expanded wind power. In August 2010, Gov. Chris Christie signed the Offshore Wind Economic Development Act, which calls for 1100 megawatts of wind energy by the end of 2012.
